Element and control options
The element heats the rail; the timer decides when it runs. Both are supplied with the rail and wired by an electrician.

Getting both supplies into one rail
The element screws into a bottom inlet — the same inlet the pipework wants. These fittings give both a way in, so the rail runs off the boiler in winter and off the element once it is switched off for summer.

Running it on the element:close one of the two valves so the heat stays in the rail instead of draining away down the pipework. Either side will do, as long as one is shut. Open it again when the heating goes back on.
