What Is Heated Towel Rail And Purpose?
Towel rails are great replacement in any modern bathrooms, cloakrooms, en-suites or kitchens. Compared to panel radiators, towel rails provide easy space for hanging towels and create modern looking bathrooms. Heated towel rail radiators (HTR for short ) will dry and warm your towels as well as heat the room. Heated Towel Rails will prevent bacteria built in damp towels and bad smell.

Do I Need To Use Inhibitor?
Inhibitor is a must in all central heating systems these days. Inhibitors will keep your central heating system corrosion and sludge free. Central Heating systems without inhibitor will develop sludge and corrosion over the time.

What Cleaning Products I can Use With My Towel Rail?
We recommend warm water and polishing cloth for cleaning your towel rail. Cleaning solutions / agents may contain strong chemicals and strip chrome plating or discolour your white or black towel rail radiator.

What Is Pipe Centre?
The space between the central heating pipes or towel rail valve inlets are pipe centre. 
The space between centre points of the valve / pipe inlets called pipe centre. It is also same for your central heating pipes as well. To find your correct replacement radiator you will need to find your pipe centre and choose it accordingly. We do stock many different size width towel rails starting from 160mm pipe centre ( 200mm wide towel rail radiators )

What Type Of Valves I Need?
Selecting your valves for central heating connection can be confusing. We did create a short video which explains the angled and straight inline valve connection on standard ladder type towel rails ( Youtube Video Link )
Straight inline valves needed for pipes coming out of floor.
Angled valves needed for pipes coming out of wall. Also you can use corner valves for wall pipes.

Why My Towel Rail Heating Partially?
If you have cold areas on your towel rail it means there is air trapped / gap inside. The best practice is closing one of the central heating valve and bleed the towel rail from bleeding valve. After your towel rail bleed you need to open the closed valve. You may need to do this more than once on all your central heating connected radiators.

What Size Towel Rail I Need For My Room?

Why White Towel Rails Give More Heat Compared To Chrome Towel Rails?
This is because there is additional 4 layers of plating on chrome towel rails but only powder coated paint layer on white or black finished towel rails.

What Is Dual Fuel Towel Rail?
Dual fuel setup is central heating as well as electric use towel rail radiator. You use central heating in the winter and electric in the summer days when your central heating is off. You need to close one of the central hating valve off in summer days for electric use only. 

What Do You Use To Fill Electric Only Towel Rails?
We use minimum 85%Reverse Osmosis Water ( 99.9% Pure Water ) + Ethylene Glycol Mixture. All our Pre-Filled electric towel rails filled with expansion air gap and must be bleed on very first heat.

Can I Request Element On The Specific Side?
Your electric only towel rail requires a assembly. Element and towel rail will be packed separately to avoid any damage in transit. You will need to remove the blanking plug off from the desired side ( at the bottom ) and screw the element in.

Can I Install Electric Element On Top of My Electric Towel Rail?
This is extremely dangerous and not recommended. If element installed upside down at the top of the towel rail, element will over heat itself and may cause fire. Also will not heat your towel rail at all. Please do not try this at all!

What is Single Heat Towel Rail Element?
Single heat elements comes with no built in temperature controller and will not regulate itself to maintain the temperature. These elements can be wired into wall timers or wall controllers.

What Is Thermostatic Element?
Thermostatic elements will control and maintain your desired temperature. There is a temperature sensor and thermostatic controller within the element. Thermostatic towel rail radiator elements will sense only towel rail internal temperature not the room temperature.

Can I Use Thermostatic Element With Wall Timers?
Yes you can, our Terma Meg-Moa and GT model elements are compatible with wall timers. When timers turn the element on, element will be on the last previous setting it was set.

Can I Convert My Towel Rail To Dual Fuel Use?
Almost all of our ladder type towel rails dual fuel compatible. You will need t-piece ( dual fuel adaptor ), pair of central heating valves and electric heating element.

How Can I Select The Wattage Of Element I Need For My Towel Rail?
You need to select the wattage of the element carefully. If you install less wattage than you need; your towel rail will not heat and if you install more than your towel rail needs; your element will burn out soon. Ideally you need to install min 50% of your towel rail heat output ( wattage rating ) and max 90%. Please feel free to contact us if you will need any assistance. 

What Is The Difference Between Terma MEG and MOA Elements?
 Terma MEG model element has 5 different heat settings and on/off button. Terma MEG thermostatic element capable of maintaining your towel rail temperature between 45 - 65°C.
 MOA model thermostatic element has same functionality as MEG but also 2 hours drying mode timer built in. Drying mode timer can also be used as booster for the first 2 hours. Please check our short video about MOA thermostatic towel rail element below.
